About the role
Working as part of a busy transport operation, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting drivers throughout their working day, ensuring schedules run smoothly and any issues are dealt with quickly and effectively. The role involves monitoring driver activity, maintaining accurate records and systems, and responding to operational issues as they arise.
You will be required to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 18:00 – 06:00.
You will be responsible for
Tracking drivers throughout their routes to ensure they are running to schedule and arriving on time.
Supporting drivers with any issues or queries that arise during their shifts, providing quick and effective solutions.
Completing and maintaining accurate paperwork and operational documentation.
Coordinating callouts and assistance for vehicle breakdowns, tyre issues and other roadside incidents.
Updating internal systems with accurate operational data and ensuring information is recorded in a timely manner.
About you
You will have previous experience working within a transport or logistics environment, with a good understanding of UK geography and drivers’ hours regulations. You will have strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure, resolve issues quickly and build positive relationships with drivers and colleagues. A proactive approach and good attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
