About the role
Working Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00, this 12 month fixed term role offers an opportunity to support the day-to-day management of fleet and driver compliance across multiple operating centres. Working closely with drivers, planners, depots, suppliers, and compliance teams, you'll help ensure vehicles and drivers remain fully compliant while supporting operational requirements.
You will be responsible for:
Coordinating vehicle servicing, inspections, MOTs, repairs, and defect management across the fleet
Managing relationships with workshops, maintenance providers, breakdown suppliers, and external service partners
Monitoring vehicle compliance and maintenance schedules to ensure fleet availability and legal compliance
Supporting supplier performance reviews, cost control initiatives, and service delivery standards
Liaising with drivers, planners, depots, and workshop providers to minimise operational disruption
Maintaining accurate fleet records, compliance documentation, and maintenance histories
Supporting audits, investigations, and fleet compliance activities in line with DFDS and Operator Licence requirements
About you
You'll be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and a genuine interest in transport compliance and fleet operations. Experience within transport, logistics, fleet administration, compliance, or a similar operational environment would be advantageous.
You'll thrive in this role if you're a confident communicator who can build effective relationships at all levels of the business. You'll be comfortable dealing with challenging situations professionally and constructively, balancing compliance requirements with operational needs. A proactive attitude, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities will help you succeed in this fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of driver hours legislation, fleet maintenance planning, FORS, DVS, Operator Licence compliance, or transport regulations would be beneficial, although training and development will be provided where required.
We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity. Contrasting opinions, varied skills and strong characters bring out the best in us all. And we cannot wait for you to join.
