Group Sales Advisor FTC 6 Months

About the role
As part of the DFDS Group Sales team, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional service to our B2B and group customers across all routes. This is a commercially focused position where strong relationship management, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset are essential. You will take ownership of group reservations from initial enquiry through to final travel, ensuring a seamless end-to-end experience while maximising sales opportunities and supporting wider business objectives.
Please note - This role is a Fixed Term Contract for 6 months, working 3 out of 5 days per week, on a 24 hour contract.
You will be responsible for
Manage group and B2B reservations from enquiry to completion, including allocation adjustments (wash), manifest updates, payment coordination, and final documentation.
Proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximise revenue and contribute to agreed sales targets and KPIs.
Maintain clear, proactive communication with customers, particularly during TIP situations, providing guidance and ensuring service excellence at every stage.
Collaborate closely with sales operations, field and business sales teams, as well as finance, product, and revenue management to ensure smooth booking processes and commercial alignment.
Represent DFDS as a brand ambassador by maintaining strong product knowledge, participating in ship meetings and vessel tours, and supporting wider sales operations during peak periods to promote a “one team” culture.
About you
You are a commercially minded, customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment. While experience within the travel industry is preferred, it’s your attitude, drive, and ability to build strong relationships that truly set you apart. If you are bilingual in Dutch, that would be a strong advantage, enabling you to confidently support a broader customer base.
You bring a proven sales mindset, motivated by achieving targets and delivering results, while never compromising on service quality. You enjoy working collaboratively and are recognised as a strong team player who builds positive relationships with colleagues and customers alike. Comfortable operating in a global, cross-functional environment, you communicate effectively and adapt easily to changing priorities.
Highly organised and structured in your approach, you take pride in managing back-office processes with accuracy and attention to detail. Agile, flexible, and self-motivated, you stay focused under pressure and remain committed to delivering a seamless end-to-end customer experience.
