About the role
We are looking for a dynamic, goal driven person to join our team. The Transport Planner works as part of a small team and in line with DFDS, and our customer KPI’s, to plan structured and cost-efficient delivery schedules throughout ROI. A high standard of customer service, attention to detail, accurate reporting and effective communication is essential.
You will be responsible for:
• Planning the route of over 30 vehicles a day
• Ensuring they get to their destinations on time.
• Working part of a team to solve problems whilst conducting root cause analysis and driving improvements.
• Oversee sub-contractors & drivers within this role.
About you
• You must have solid experience of using Microsoft packages such as Excel and Word
• We need you to be self-motivated with an ability to deal with fast-changing environments and the ability to be flexible.
• Sound geographical knowledge of the UK and awareness of vehicle safety legislation, EU driver hours and Working Time Regulations
