About the role
As a Class 1 Driver, you’ll be out on the road making sure our customers get their deliveries on time and in great condition. You’ll be driving from our depot to our other various depots, handling chilled and ambient goods.
You will responsible for:
- Driving HGVs between depots and customer sites
- Delivering a mix of chilled, produce and ambient products
- Making sure all delivery notes are signed and paperwork is spot on
- Strapping down loads securely and checking everything’s safe before setting off
- Doing basic vehicle checks, tyres, brakes, lights, oil, water, fuel, and reporting any issues
- Following road transport rules and working within driver hours and time regulations
- Helping with loading and unloading when needed, and making sure everything’s evenly distributed
- Keeping track of your journey times, mileage and hours using your tachograph
- Sorting out minor repairs and flagging any mechanical faults to the team
You’ll be part of a supportive and friendly team in Rathcoole, where everyone pulls together to get the job done. You’ll be driving modern, well-maintained vehicles and working closely with our transport team to keep things running smoothly.
About you
You’ll need a full, clean HGV Class 1 licence, along with a valid CPC and tachograph card to get started. Since this is a customer-facing role, good English skills and a friendly, professional attitude go a long way. We’re looking for someone who is confident on the road, and takes pride in doing a great job. If you’re reliable, safety-conscious, and enjoy working independently while still being part of a supportive team, you’ll fit right in.
We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity. Contrasting opinions, varied skills and strong characters bring out the best in us all. And we cannot wait for you to join.
