Shunter
Are you looking for a position in which you keep things moving and deliver when it matters most? If so, then you could be the newest addition to our team as a Shunter.
Be part of the movement - and play your part.
About the role
We’re looking for a confident and safety-focused Shunter to join our team, working Monday to Friday, day shifts. You’ll play a key role in keeping our yard operations running smoothly, making sure trailers are in the right place at the right time.
You will be responsible for:
- Safely manoeuvring and parking trailers around the yard for loading and unloading
- Carrying out regular vehicle checks and reporting any issues
- Following all safety procedures and keeping an eye out for potential hazards
- Working closely with warehouse teams, drivers, and supervisors to keep things flowing
- Keeping accurate records of trailer movements and any incidents
You’ll be part of a busy, supportive team that values clear communication and teamwork. Your role is essential to keeping everything on schedule and running safely.
About you
You’ll do well in this role if you’ve got a valid Class 1 licence and a good understanding of how things work in a busy yard. You’re someone who stays calm under pressure, communicates well, and works well with others. If you’ve done shunting before, great, but if not, we’ll give you the training and support you need to get up to speed.
We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity. Contrasting opinions, varied skills and strong characters bring out the best in us all. And we cannot wait for you to join.
