Do you want to be a valued part of the critical infrastructure that serves communities across Europe and beyond? Are you looking for a position in which you can set direction and help shape our company? If so, then you could be the newest addition to our team as a Nightshift Coordinator
Be part of the movement – and play your part
About the role
As a Nightshift Coordinator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of overnight transport activities. Acting as the main point of contact between drivers, depots, and customers during night hours, you'll ensure schedules are met, issues are resolved swiftly, and communication flows effectively across all teams. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure to keep freight moving on time. You will be required to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern 20:30-08:30.
You will be responsible for
- Overseeing and managing the allocation and dispatch of loads during night hours, ensuring driver schedules and legal compliance are maintained.
- Monitoring live vehicle tracking systems to identify delays and take proactive steps to resolve operational issues.
- Processing and update transport documentation such as PODs and manifests, ensuring accurate data entry into TMS.
- Acting as the main contact for overnight driver and depot queries, escalating breakdowns or delays to relevant teams.
- Preparing detailed handover reports for the morning shift, logging all key incidents, delays, and performance metrics.
About you
You’re a confident and organised individual with a strong understanding of transport or logistics operations, particularly in fast-paced or time-critical environments. With solid IT skills and a keen eye for detail, you’re comfortable using systems like Excel, Outlook, and transport management software to manage schedules, input data accurately, and generate reports. You communicate clearly and professionally, even under pressure, and are known for your calm approach when resolving issues or handling unexpected disruptions. Ideally, you’ve worked night shifts before and thrive when working independently, using your initiative to prioritise tasks and keep operations running smoothly throughout the night. Your problem-solving mindset and understanding of transport regulations make you a reliable and proactive team member.
We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity. Contrasting opinions, varied skills and strong characters bring out the best in us all. And we cannot wait for you to join.
