About the role
This is a hands-on apprenticeship role supporting our busy terminal and warehouse operations at Immingham Dock. You’ll play a key part in the day-to-day coordination of trailer movements, ensuring smooth and accurate communication between hauliers, warehouse staff, and our terminal team.
You will be responsible for booking trailers in and out of our warehouses and terminal operations, supporting the logistics flow and maintaining accurate records in our systems.
- Log and manage trailer arrivals and departures using internal booking platforms
- Communicate directly with drivers and haulage companies
- Update schedules and system records to ensure operational accuracy
- Support the warehouse and terminal teams with coordination tasks
- Learn and adhere to safety and compliance procedures
You’ll be joining a team of 34 experienced colleagues with an average length of service of 14 years. It’s a well-established department that’s actively evolving and focused on building resilience for the future. You'll work in a collaborative environment where guidance and support are always available, but where fresh thinking is welcomed.
You'll have access to the necessary IT tools, including our in-house transport management systems and Microsoft Office applications. The work environment is fast paced but supportive.

This role will suit someone who’s naturally reliable and enjoys working with people. Flexibility is key, while the role is based on 39 hours a week (Monday to Friday), there may be opportunities to work 12-hour shifts or nights as part of your future development.
