About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Administrator to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, managing new starter setups, and maintaining compliance with HMRC requirements. You’ll work closely with HR and Finance teams, handle sensitive data with confidentiality, and support internal and external reporting needs. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
You will be responsible for
- Processing monthly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.
- Setting up new starters, processing leavers, and maintaining employee payroll records.
- Downloading and applying HMRC data, including tax codes and student loan updates.
- Generating and distributing payroll reports, extracting and analysing data from HR systems.
- Completing payroll audits, collating data, and submitting reports to third parties such as pension providers and statutory bodies.

You are an organised and detail-focused individual who takes pride in getting things right the first time. With strong Excel skills and a solid grasp of payroll processes, you're confident working with data and systems. You’re also a great communicator—comfortable picking up the phone, answering queries, and working closely with colleagues across departments. Your friendly, bubbly, and approachable nature makes you a valued team member, and you thrive in a collaborative, people-focused environment.
