About the role
This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations and compliance with customs and immigration regulations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a talent for logistics and IT systems, we want to hear from you!
You will be responsible for:
- Working Monday to Friday 09:00am – 17:00pm
- Coordinate with local UK Border Force.
- Manage all Brexit-related requirements with Terminal and Customers.
- Promote and address enhancements with IT links between DFDS systems and Port Community systems/customs systems.
- Create customs IDs for all voyages in and out of Immingham and Newcastle, including assigning them in internal systems.
- Handle immigration clearances.
- Provide excellent customer service and deal with terminal operations.
About you
The ideal candidate for this role must have IT experience due to the extensive use of various systems. Knowledge of customs, shipping, or logistics is desirable, as it will aid in the smooth execution of duties. Strong attention to detail is crucial, along with a flexible and adaptable working style to handle the dynamic nature of the job. Additionally, being a team player with strong collaboration skills is essential to thrive in this role.
