You will support the Audience Insights team to support on both report building and research projects to provide actionable insights to the Marketing Department. You will have experience in conducting your own research from scoping out your project, through to its execution and delivery of results. Knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research is desirable alongside a strong understanding of how to use this to guide marketing activity. Data literacy is essential, alongside the capability to translate data into insight through using power bi and other available tools. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with peers and stakeholders and be keen to build strong working relationships across the business.
Working Mon – Fri, we are seeking an enthusiastic individual, with a strong background in research and insight, to deliver innovative value added analysis. It is imperative you are someone that is proactive and passionate about insights.
You will be responsible for:
- To be the insight lead on your designated DFDS route, managing stakeholder relationships proactively and efficiently
- Manage and prioritise your workload to ensure effective and timely delivery of output
- To build new reports into our reporting tool that translates data into easily digestible and relevant insights
- Update and amend existing reports to increase the value of the reports and improve the usability
- To execute research from the initial gathering of requirements, building of surveys and delivering results to provide valuable insights to support campaign and product team
- To interpret and analyse all available data i.e., reports and research (both internal and external sources) and deliver actionable insights in a clear, visual and concise way
- Support insight projects and contribute to key initiatives by producing and presenting relevant, informative, and actionable insight to help drive business decisions
- Full understanding of our passengers, including their travel behaviours, motivations and feelings towards your designated route through being close to the data
- Delivery of presentations to update on customer satisfaction and net promoter performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Participate in ongoing product development and campaign activities as well as discussions with the different marketing teams to ensure we deliver on customer expectations
- Support implementation of tools and strategies to extract and translate raw data into valuable actionable insights.
- Work on understanding our brand awareness and analyse our competitors to compare marketing performance.
- Support analytics tools set up to correct discrepancies and ensure absolute data quality.
About you
- 2/3+ years’ experience within marketing and analytics.
- Proactive and motivated team player
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work well under pressure
- Self-starter, who is curious and ambitious.
- Strong communication & presentation skills.
- Understanding of Google Analytics.
- Good understanding of marketing channel analysis.
- Experience in data prep and blending tools and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau and Power BI)
- Knowledge of attribution modelling.
- Experience of research tools such as SurveyMonkey
- Experience of Brand Awareness & Competitor Analysis tools
- Knowledge and understanding of travel and insights industry.
- Marketing, Analytics, Business degree or professional marketing qualification is an advantage.
